Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic train accident near Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, which claimed several lives and left many injured on Tuesday evening.
Taking to social media platform X, Majhi wrote, “Deeply saddened by the tragic train accident near Bilaspur resulting in the loss of several precious lives and injuries to many. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families in this hour of grief. Praying for the speedy recovery of the injured and strength to the families affected by this unfortunate incident.”
The Chief Minister extended his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured.
Earlier in the evening, at least six people were reported dead after a collision between the Korba Passenger train and a goods train in Bilaspur district. Rescue operations are continuing, with railway and district officials engaged in relief efforts at the site.
