Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all students who have passed the annual High School Certificate (Matric) Examination and the Madhya and State Open School Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha.
The results of the Matric Examination 2026 were declared today by the Board. In a post on X, CM Mohan Majhi wrote:“My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the students who have passed the annual High School Certificate Examination and the Madhya and State Open School Certificate Examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha. I urge everyone to move forward with confidence without getting discouraged, regardless of the exam results. The determination of our students will help in building a prosperous Odisha in the coming days. I wish everyone a prosperous and bright future.”
The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha on Saturday announced the results of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) or Matric Examination 2026 with an overall pass percentage of 95.33 per cent.
As many as 5,36,306 students had appeared for the examination this year, out of which 5,19,251 candidates successfully passed. The Board informed that 8,364 students remained absent. In terms of grades, 2,456 students secured A1 grade, 15,681 obtained A2, 43,565 got B1, 86,103 secured B2, 1,29,813 achieved C grade, 1,46,152 were placed in D grade, and 95,481 students passed with E grade.
The results were formally declared at a special programme held at the BSE office by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond in the presence of Board President Srikanta Tarai and other senior officials.
