Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his deputies KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida will leave for Delhi today.
This is the first time the Chief Minister and Deputy CMs will visit the national capital after the formation of the BJP government in the state.
As per the report, the Chief Minister and two Deputy Chief Ministers have programmes to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National BJP President JP Nadda.
Besides, they have planning to meet some top leader of the saffron party as part of their Delhi trip.
It is pertinent to mention that four-time MLA and tribal leader Mohan Charan Majhi was sworn in as Odisha’s first BJP Chief Minister at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and chief ministers on June 12.
Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, a veteran party MLA from Patnagarh, and Pravati Parida, a first-time MLA from Nimapara, were also sworn in as the deputy CMs at the event.
