Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today unveiled the statue of former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Kishore Mohanty in Brajrajnagar through video conferencing.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Kishore’s simplicity was his greatest identity. He became everyone’s favorite irrespective of party affiliation. Starting politics from the grassroots level, he became the Government Chief Whip, MP, Chairman of the Western Odisha Development Council, and Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly. He was an able organizer and leader of Biju Janata Dal. He contributed a lot in strengthening the team.
Health Minister Naba Kisore Das attended the program and said that he had a close relationship with Kishore. He was everyone’s favorite. As the chairman of the Western Odisha Development Council, he has done many developmental works.
Brajrajnagar MLA and wife of Kishore, Alka Mohanty, expressed her gratitude to the Chief Minister and said that Kishore will remain immortal in the hearts of the people of Brajrajnagar and the entire Western Odisha.
