Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a cold wave alert for three Odisha districts, warning of chilly weather conditions on November 12 and 13.

According to the IMD, cold wave conditions are likely to prevail in isolated pockets of Jharsuguda, Kandhamal, and Sundargarh districts, with temperatures expected to drop significantly.

Residents of these areas are advised to take necessary precautions to stay warm and avoid seasonal illnesses.

The IMD has also predicted a further dip in temperature, with minimum temperatures expected to fall by 2-3°C over the next two to three days.

The cold wave alert comes as temperatures have already dropped below 15°C in several parts of Odisha, with some areas experiencing dense morning fog, affecting visibility.
