Bhubaneswar: Isolated cold wave is very likely over some parts of interior Odisha during the next two days under the influence of northwesterly/northerly dry and cold wind at lower levels penetrating over Odisha.
As per the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold wave condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Angul and Keonjhar today.
Similar weather condition is very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Bolangir, Bargarh, Nuapada, Sonepur, and Kalahandi tomorrow.
In view of this, the IMD has suggested the following actions:
- Stay indoor during night & early morning and use multiple clothes to avoid exposure to cold.
- Do arrangement to keep livestock in shaded/indoor area during night.
- Avoid movement during night specially through two wheelers/ open cars.
