Bhubaneswar: The cold wave continues to grip Jharsuguda, with the minimum temperature dipping to 9°C on Monday morning.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the temperature was recorded at 9°C at 5:30 am, marking a drop of 0.6°C from the previous day’s temperature.
The temperature trend in Jharsuguda over the past 10 days has shown a steady decline, with the mercury dipping from 14°C on December 1 to 9°C today. The temperature has been fluctuating, with a slight increase to 13.6°C on December 3, but has otherwise continued its downward trend, reaching 13.2°C on December 2, 12.8°C on December 4, 11.6°C on December 5, 11.2°C on December 6, 11°C on December 7, 10°C on December 8, and 9.6°C on December 9, before hitting 9°C today, December 10.
The IMD has advised residents to take necessary precautions to stay warm and safe, and to exercise caution while travelling, especially during early morning hours when visibility may be poor due to dense fog.
