Bhubaneswar: An Indian Navy Helicopter carried three advance search equipment: Life-detection unit seismic, Vibration detection unit and Victim Location Camera to G.Udaygiri for locating the missing persons in Gidipabali, Tadama revenue village of Baibali GP of Ganjam District bordering Kandhamal.
Due to bad weather, the Helicopter couldn’t descend. The equipment are being sent on road and will be in place for use in the first hours tomorrow.
The landslide location is experiencing heavy rains making rescue work difficult.
Teams from NDRF, ODRAF and Odisha Fire Department will be joined by teams from the Indian Railways.
All possible efforts are being made in consultation with experts to expedite the search operation despite difficulty in reaching the location and difficulty weather conditions.
