Bhubaneswar: The Home Department has issued an advisory to all Collectors and District Magistrates in Odisha, asking them to take preventive and precautionary security measures ahead of the proposed All India General Strike on February 12.
The strike, called by central trade unions, sectoral associations, and banking federations, is expected to affect various sectors, including rail, roads, mines, factories, government offices, educational institutions, banks, and business centers across the country.
The advisory requests officials to remain alert and ensure maintenance of law and order, smooth functioning of government offices, and provision of essential services during the strike. The strike is slated to be observed from 6 AM to 6 PM, with protests, rallies, and demonstrations planned.
