Koraput: A college student drowned while bathing in the Kolab reservoir in Koraput district on Friday, reports said.
The deceased was identified as Moses Khosla, a resident of Kolab Nagar area in Koraput. He was an undergraduate (Plus 3) Commerce student of Semiliguda College.
According to reports, Moses had gone to the Kolab reservoir along with a group of youths to shoot reels. After filming, he entered the water along with others for bathing, during which he accidentally drowned.
On receiving information, Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. The body was later retrieved from the reservoir.
Police have sent the body to Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital for postmortem. A case has been registered and an investigation into the incident is underway, officials added.
