Bhubaneswar: A special squad of the Commissionerate Police on Wednesday arrested the absconding ‘bouncer gang’ mastermind Raghav Jena, accused of forcefully taking possession of disputed lands in the capital city and ransacking several shops, from Jatni.
The police have reportedly seized several sharp weapons and incriminating materials from Jena’s possession during his arrest.
He was wanted in four cases lodged at the Nayapalli police station in Bhubaneswar.
Earlier, the Commissionerate Police had nabbed more than 15 members of the infamous ‘bouncer gang’ on charges of ransacking two shops belonging to Subas Aggrawal and Pradeep Samal in Nayapalli.
On April 12, the enforcement squad of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) razed the illegal constructions of Jena developed on government land in the Jharpada area. In addition, the enforcement squad with the help of the Commissionerate Police had demolished as many as 30 houses of Jena constructed illegally in the capital city.
