Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has advised Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs) to install IP-enabled cameras at entry and exit points of the apartment.
“We have issued an advisory for the residents of apartments. All RWAs install IP-enabled cameras at the entry and exit and provide its feed to our control room. This will be a two-way communication and we can provide better security,” informed S Dev Datta Singh, Commissioner of Police Bhubaneswar-Cuttack in a video message.
Singh asked citizens to extend cooperation to the police stations and assured that the police is with them.
“We believe your feed and guards will be helpful in detection. If you have any information or suggestion inform us on our WhatsApp number 707779811,” Singh added.
The Police Commissioner said that the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissionerate Police has been in contact with the people over the issue of safety and security of apartments and has also reaped its benefits.
“In the current year out of 65 thefts reported so far we have been able to arrest 29 persons as of now,” the Police Commissioner pointed out.
