Bhubaneswar: Commisionerate Police in collaboration with HDFC Bank Ltd, unveiled the ‘Senior Citizen Booklet’ to help the elderly citizen of Twin City and areas coming under Commissionerate Police jurisdiction.
This booklet was released by the Commisionerate Police slogan “We Care” which focuses on providing essential services and rendering help and assistance to senior citizens.
Commissionerate Police will be distributing this booklet at the doorsteps of all senior citizens soon through their nodal police officers based out in various locations of the city.
The Commissioner of Police Soumendra Priyadarshi spoke about the security and safety of the senior citizens while explaining how not to fall prey to cybercrime.
A total of 31,253 senior citizens have registered under the Senior Citizen database and all efforts are being taken to include all senior citizens of the Twin City soon.
Zonal Head & Senior vice president of HDFC Bank Ltd, Deepak Kumar Singh said that HDFC Bank takes special care of the senior citizens and they would make all efforts to help and serve the senior citizens in the city with care and respect.
The event was attended by Niti Sekhar, Additional Commissioner; S Sushree, DCP Traffic; Dr Panda founder of Panda Cancer Institute; and association heads of senior citizens.
All 35 Nodal police officers of the entire Commissionerate Police were also present during the event in Police Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.
The agenda was to release and distribute a handbook with all important contact numbers of various important emergency services that are of utmost use at the time of emergency for the senior citizens who mostly stay alone in the city.
