Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police is gearing up to ensure a peaceful New Year’s celebration in Bhubaneswar. With the calendar year 2024 coming to a close, the police have made extensive arrangements to maintain law and order during the festivities.
The safety and security of people will be given top priority, and care will be taken to prevent any disturbances during the celebration, according to DCP Pinak Mishra.
To prevent accidents, the police will crack down on drunk driving, and anyone found driving under the influence of alcohol will face strict action. The police have also urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and not drink and drive. Indiscipline will not be tolerated, and anyone behaving in a disorderly manner will face the consequences.
The police have made elaborate arrangements to ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration. These include CCTV surveillance throughout the city, intensified raids on bootleg liquor shops, and strict checking at hotels and clubs. Additionally, all police stations have been ordered to work together to maintain law and order.
DCP Pinak Mishra has informed that licenses will be required for celebration parties in public places, but not for private parties. The police will also keep a close eye on the trade of bootleg liquor and take strict action against those found involved.
With these measures in place, the Commissionerate Police is confident of maintaining peace and order during the New Year celebrations.
