Bhubaneswar: The conditions are becoming favorable for monsoon onset over Kerala during the next 2-3 days. The conditions are also favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of Arabian Sea and Lakshadweep area during the same period, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday.
In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Coastal Odisha, Jharsuguda, Bargarh, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Bolangir, Sonepur, and Boudh, and dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
The IMD has warned that thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapara, Kalahandi, and Bolangir during the next 24 hours.
