Congress Announces Names Of More LS & MLA Candidates, Sofia To Contest From Barabati-Cuttack

Bhubaneswar: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Sunday announced the names of two Lok Sabha and 8 Odisha Assembly candidates for the ensuing twin elections in Odisha.

The grand old party has named Nagendra Pradhan for the Sambalpur Lok Sabha constituency and Suresh Mohapatra for the Cuttack Parliamentary seat. Pradhan will be replacing Dulal Chandra Pradhan.

The eight MLA candidates named by the party today are Sofia Firdous (Barabati-Cuttack), Pramod Kumar Hembram (Baripada ST), Debi Prasanna Chand (Jaleswar), Ajay Samal (Barachana), Fakir Samal (Pallahara), Pratima Mallick (Jagatsinghpur), Monalisa Lenka (Balasore), and Bijayantimala Mohanty (Khandapada).
