Keonjhar: At least three Kanwariyas were killed and four others were injured on Monday when an auto-rickshaw carrying them was hit by a container truck near Khireitangiri under Turumunga police limits in Keonjhar district.
All seven including the driver of the auto-rickshaw were thrown out of the vehicle under the impact of the collision and were run over by the container truck.
They were all rushed to the district headquarters hospital here.
However, three of them were declared dead at the hospital. The condition of three out of the remaining four is stated to be critical.
These Kanwariyas of Telkoi area had come to Patana and were returning home when the mishap took place.
The container truck driver has fled the spot.
