Bhubaneswar: A couple was found dead inside a shop near Langaleswar Kalajharanai on National Highway 16 under Khalikote police limits in Ganjam district, on Sunday night.
According to reports, the woman’s body was found hanging, while the man’s body was lying on the ground. The identities of the deceased couple are yet to be established. The exact circumstances surrounding the deaths are unclear, and it is yet to be determined whether it was a case of murder or suicide.
On a tip-off, police have launched an investigation into the incident and sent the bodies for post-mortem.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple was struggling to repay a loan, which may have driven them to take the extreme step.
