Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, the dead bodies of a couple were recovered in hanging condition from Laxmipur village under Chandrapur police station in Rayagada district. The deceased couple, Shriya Badanayak and Kedar Kusulia, had reportedly entered into a love marriage.
The reason behind their death is yet to be ascertained. The police have launched an investigation into the matter. The death is suspected to be a case of suicide. The couple resided in Nua Sahi of Laxmipur village.
Upon receiving the information, the Chandrapur police, along with a scientific team from Rayagada headquarters, reached the spot. SDPO Santoshi Oram also arrived at the scene and oversaw the recovery of the bodies. The police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The police are yet to receive any reactions from the family members or relatives of the deceased couple. The investigation is underway.
