Nabarangpur: A couple was killed after the bike they were riding was hit by a speeding truck near Rabanaguda Chhak under Kundei police limits in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Monday.
According to reports, the accident occurred while the couple was returning from a temple on a motorcycle with their 9-year-old son. As they approached the Rabanaguda Chhak, a truck ran over them killing the couple on the spot. Their son, however, had a narrow escape.
Meanwhile, Kundei police reached the accident spot, seized the bodies, and initiated a probe into the matter. The truck driver is reported to be absconding.
