Balasore: In a significant operation, the Simulia police in Balasore district seized crackers worth Rs 5 lakh from Begunia village.
Led by Simulia IIC Shravan Kumar Maharana, along with ASI Vishwajit Sethi and Santosh Kumar Biswal, the team conducted a raid on the house of SK Okil, a lawyer from Begunia village, late on Friday night.
During the operation, authorities confiscated a substantial stash of fireworks and detained a youth. The seized crackers were reportedly stored without proper authorisation, prompting the police to take swift action. The Simulia police station has been proactive in maintaining law and order in the area, with commendable efforts in community policing and crime prevention
