Jharsuguda: A jawan of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) allegedly committed suicide inside a hotel room in Jharsuguda town on Monday.
The deceased identified as Ajit Babu, reportedly serving at Jashpur in Chhattisgarh, had checked into the hotel on June 12.
As he did not come out of his room yesterday, the hotel staff knocked on the door. Unable to get any response, they checked through the skylight and found him hanging from the fan.
On getting information, Jharsuguda Town Police and scientific team reached the spot and a probe has been initiated into the matter.
