Bhubaneswar: A woman was found dead with her throat slit open at Kotanisila village under the Rajasunakhala outpost in Nayagarh district, on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Namita Dehuri, wife of a CRPF jawan.
According to sources, Namita was residing alone at her residence as her husband and children including two daughters and a son reside outside. Taking advantage of her aloneness, miscreants are alleged to have barged into her house and killed her by slitting her throat on Sunday night.
Locals spotted Namita lying in a pool of blood and informed police. Upon being informed, police seized the body and sent it for post-mortem.
Police, meanwhile, initiated a probe with the help of a scientific team to nab the miscreants.
Though the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained, police detained two youths of the village in this connection.
