Puri: A crucial meeting pertaining to maintenance and repair of the different portions of Shree Jagannath Temple, was held in Puri on Friday. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Ranjan Kumar Das.
Discussions about repair work of the sanctum sanctorum and other parts of the temple were held. Senior ASI officials and members of the Temple Management Committee were present in the meeting, sources said.
At the end of the meeting, Das spoke to the media and said that repair work of the main temple will be completed during Rath Yatra.
Inspection of smaller shrines within the Meghanad Pachery will be carried out after Rath Yatra. Measures will be taken to check cockroaches and mice menace in the Garbh Griha of the temple, added Das.
