Bhubaneswar: In a bid to strengthen public transport services in the capital region, the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) conducted a field inspection on Saturday morning to evaluate the efficiency and commuter experience of its bus services.
According to an official press release, Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, Managing Director of CRUT, along with General Manager Sanjay Kumar Biswal, took a ride on an ‘Ama Bus’ operating along a regular commuter route. The aim of the visit was to gain real-time insights into the travel experience of daily passengers and assess the system from a user’s perspective.
During the ride, the officials interacted with commuters to gather direct feedback, understand their concerns, and note suggestions for improvement. The team also assessed the functioning of the ticketing and payment systems to ensure they are seamless and transparent.
A detailed inspection of onboard safety and security arrangements was carried out to evaluate the operational readiness and overall safety standards for passengers.
This initiative reflects CRUT’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, reliable, and commuter-friendly transport solutions in the capital region. Such hands-on reviews are part of CRUT’s strategy to make informed, on-ground decisions that enhance service quality and user satisfaction.
