Bhubaneswar: An officer of the Commercial Tax Goods & Services Tax Department has been caught by the State Vigilance on charges of bribery.
According to reports, the official was held by the Vigilance when he was taking a bribe of Rs 80,000 from an individual for shutting the latter’s case.
The Vigilance sleuths are carrying out raids at, at least three locations in this connection and a case has been registered.
