Bhubaneswar: Amidst the growing cyber-fraud cases in the state, senior IAS officer and Principal Secretary of Commerce & Transport Department, Usha Padhee, taking to her X handle, wrote a post regarding cyber fraud, asking for money from known contacts using her identity on WhatsApp messaging application.
Tagging the official handle of the Director General of Police, Odisha, Padhee wrote, “It has been brought to my attention that some imposter is sending messages to many known contacts and asking money. I have already taken steps to report to concerned authorities. May please be cautious and don’t get in to the trap such cyber fraudsters.”
The senior IAS officer has also attached a screenshot containing information about the bank account details of the fraudster.
The account holder’s name in the screenshot states one Rohana Parveen Mohamed Bahath, along with details, including account number, name of the bank, IFSC code, and branch location.
