Cuttack: The Odisha government today announced to extend the duration of Cuttack Balijatra by another day up to November 17.
The government decided to extend the fair by one more day after taking into consideration the interest of the traders and women’s self-help groups as it will be helpful for their businesses which have suffered badly for two years due to the Covid pandemic.
“Keeping in mind the interest of traders whose businesses have suffered for two years due to the Covid pandemic and the directive of the government it has been decided to increase the duration of Balijatra by one more day,” informed Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani to reporters here today.
The Balijatra will now be concluded on November 17 instead of November 16, Chayani added.
