Cuttack: The Special POCSO Court here today sentenced one Jitendra Sahoo to 20 years rigorous imprisonment (RI) after convicting him for raping a four-year-old minor.
The Court also ordered Sahoo to pay a fine of Rs 15,000, failing which he would undergo further six months RI.
Similarly, the Court has ordered the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) to pay a monetary compensation of Rs 4 lakh to the victim.
According to the proceedings of the case, the minor girl was raped on February 27 in 2019. Sahoo had raped the minor girl at a marriage hall.
