Bhubaneswar: With cyclone Dana nearing Odisha, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has announced the closure of all monuments and museums under its supervision from October 24 to 25.

This precautionary measure aims to prevent any accidents or damage to these historical sites.

The Superintending Archaeologist of Puri Circle issued an order in this regard on Tuesday and directed the authorities of all monuments and museums to shut the doors of historical sites on October 24 and 25 to avoid any untoward incident.

Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its latest bulletin informed that the deep depression in the east-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclone and is expected to strengthen into a severe cyclonic storm over the central Bay of Bengal by Thursday.
