Bhubaneswar: The severe cyclonic storm ‘Dana’ over northwest Bay of Bengal moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 13 kmph during past six hours and lay centred at 07.30 PM today, over the same region.
The IMD, in its latest bulletin, stated that the cyclone is located about 80 km east-southeast of Paradip (Odisha), 110 km south-southeast of Dhamara (Odisha) and 200 km south-southwest of Sagar Island (West Bengal).
It is likely to cross north Odisha and West Bengal coasts between Puri and Sagar Island close to Bhitarkanika and Dhamara (Odisha) during mid-night of October 24 and the morning of October 25.
