Bhubaneswar: In view of the approaching Cyclone ‘Montha’, the Railways have taken precautionary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and train operations. A total of 61 trains have been cancelled across four days, from October 27 to October 30, 2025.
The cancelled trains include:
– 4 trains on October 27, 2025
– 48 trains on October 28, 2025
– 8 trains on October 29, 2025
– 1 train on October 30, 2025
Some of the notable cancelled trains include:
– 07166 Bhubaneswar New-Hyderabad Special on October 29, 2025
– 17479 Puri-Tirupati train on October 30, 2025
– 18464 Bengaluru-Bhubaneswar Prashanti Express on October 29, 2025
In addition to cancellations, 9 trains have been short-terminated or short-originated, 6 trains have been diverted, and 9 trains have been rescheduled.
The Railway administration is closely monitoring the weather conditions in coordination with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) and Disaster Management authorities. Field teams have been deployed to inspect tracks, signalling systems, and overhead power lines to ensure the quick restoration of services post-cyclone. Passengers are advised to check the latest train schedules and updates before planning their journey.
