Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation hovering over the southeast Bay of Bengal is likely to increase temperatures in Odisha over the next few days, with no significant rainfall expected in the state.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the maximum and minimum temperatures are set to rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius in the next three days.
The circulation has brought scattered rain to parts of the state, with Nayagarh’s Baramula recording 5.4 mm, Kendrapara’s Marshaghai 5 mm, Derabish 2.5 mm, Ganjam’s Digapahandi 5 mm, and Jajpur’s Jenapur 2.2 mm.
The state’s lowest temperature was recorded at Rourkela (12.2°C), followed by G Udayagiri (9.7°C), while the highest was at Parlakhemundi (35°C).
With no significant weather system over the state, the weather is expected to remain dry for the next seven days.
