Keredagarh Revenue Inspector Caught Red-Handed For Taking Rs 5K Bribe

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths apprehended Pradyumna Keshari Behura, Revenue Inspector (RI) of Keredagarh under Rajnagar Tahasil in Kendrapara district while accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000 from a landowner.

According to release issued by Odisha Vigilance, Behura demanded the bribe for submitting a favourable report in a mutation case. The landowner reported the incident to the vigilance authorities, leading to the trap. The bribe money was recovered from Behura’s possession.

Searches are underway at two locations linked to the accused.

A case has been registered against Behura under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
