Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation formed over South Andaman Sea and neighbourhood at around 5.30 AM on Wednesday, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The system is likely to become a low pressure area over the same region around May 6 and intensify further during the subsequent 24 hours, it added
The system will intensify into a cyclonic storm or not can be ascertained after the formation of low pressure area, said experts. The system will be named as Cyclone Asani if it intensifies into a cyclonic storm.
