Bhubaneswar: Rajya Sabha MP Debashish Samantray today resigned as the president of the Football Association of Odisha (FAO) citing his busy schedule.
He sent his resignation letter to the FAO secretary Asirbad Behera.
“Due to My busy schedule and other personal engagements, I am unable to give justice to the post of president, FAO. Therefore, I resign from the post and I am sure under your leadership the association will work in promoting football in Odisha,” Samantray wrote in his letter.
Samantray had been the president for three terms since the formation of the Association.
