Bhubaneswar: A dense fog enveloped several places in Odisha on Thursday morning affecting vehicular traffic. Visibility was reduced to just 20 metres.
In the capital city, dense fog was seen in Rasulgarh, Rasulgarh and Palasuni from 4.30 am onwards. The fog affected vehicular traffic at many places in the state, especially on the National Highway-16 between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
Students, vendors and others experienced problems in commuting owing to the fog.
As the bus and auto-rickshaw drivers are on strike traffic was scant on the streets.
