Bhubaneswar: Deogarh MLA Subash Chandra Panigrahi along with his three supporters were arrested on Sunday on charges of assaulting a Block Development Officer of the district (BDO).
The district police had set up a special team to investigate the matter after a complaint was filed by BDO Krushnachandra Dalapati alleging assault, against Panigrahi and his associates.
Dalapati, the BDO of Tileibani block was on Saturday allegedly assaulted by Panigrahi and his aides at Chhepalipali village. Panigrahi was arrested by Deogarh police from his MLA quarter in the city, Deogarh SDPO informed.
