Deogarh: The triple murder accused who was on the run after killing his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter at Gariapali village under Kundeigola police limits in Deogarh district, has been traced. He was found hiding in a water tank near the village, and efforts are underway to apprehend him.
As per reports, the accused identified as Ramesh Garia reportedly hacked his wife, daughter-in-law and granddaughter with the help of hammer over unknown reasons. The incident occurred late on Wednesday last night at Ramesh’s residence.
The victims have been identified Ramesh’s wife Kuhul, daughter-in-law Lipi and four-year-old granddaughter Gayatri. Ramesh had fled the scene after bludgeoning them to death with the help of a hammer. The incident had led to heightened tensions in the village. On Saturday morning, villagers spotted him and informed police. He is meanwhile surrounded by angry villagers so that he would flee again.
Till the last report came in, fire fighting teams are trying to capture him with the help of Kundeigola police.
