Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 exam on June 21, Director General of Police YB Khurania on Tuesday held a review meeting at his camp office in Bhubaneswar to ensure the test is conducted in a clean, free and smooth manner.

The DGP directed all district SPs to adopt three-tier security arrangements to maintain law and order and complete the examination process without any disruption. This year, the NEET-UG exam will be conducted at 132 centres across various districts of the state.

The meeting reviewed security at examination centres, CCTV surveillance, security of bank lockers where question papers are stored, maintaining peace and order inside and outside centre premises, traffic management, and emergency response arrangements.

Social media monitoring has been intensified and the cyber cell has been put on alert. The DGP ordered strict vigilance on misinformation and rumour mongering and asked officials to pre-test and verify all security arrangements.

He also directed officers to strictly follow instructions for collecting OMR sheets from examination centres after the exam and shifting them to designated safe locations. The DGP made it clear that any irregularities, dishonest activities or security lapses related to the examination will not be tolerated and asked all SPs to remain alert, vigilant and prepared at all times.

Crime Branch DG Binaytosh Mishra, Additional Director General of Police Law and Order Sanjay Kumar, and IG Central Dr. Satyajit Naik attended the meeting. All range IGPs, DIGs and District SPs joined through virtual mode.
