As per reports, the DGP discussed crowd management, traffic arrangements, and law and order with senior officials as part of measures to ensure the safety of devotees and the smooth conduct of the upcoming Rath Yatra festival.

The review meeting was held at the office of Puri Superintendent of Police (SP), attended by senior police officers, including Additional DGPs Sanjay Kumar, Amitabh Thakur, Dayal Gangwar, Praveen Kumar, Anup Sahoo, and Pinaki Mishra, as well as SP Vinit Agrawal.

That apart, DGP Khurania led a comprehensive security review, examining CCTV surveillance, rapid response teams, and coordination with local district authorities, emphasising that security remains the top priority given the massive turnout of devotees expected for Rath Yatra.
