Bhubaneswar: The proposed queue system at the Jagannath Temple in Puri will be implemented from January 20, informed Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan on Tuesday.
According to Harichandan, the necessary arrangements are underway to ensure the queue system is in place for a seamless darshan experience at Srimandir . This new system aims to provide a smooth and hassle-free experience for devotees visiting the temple.
He further said, “The queue system at Puri Jagannath Temple, initially planned for the New Year, has been delayed due to the large influx of pilgrims during the period. Meanwhile, repair work of the Ratna Bhandar, which was temporarily halted, will resume on January 17. The work is expected to be completed before March, followed by an inventory of the deities’ ornaments.”
The minister, however, clarified that no trial run will be conducted for the dhadi darshan. The new system aims to address the massive crowd visiting the shrine regularly, ensuring a smooth and serene darshan.
