Dhenkanal: Vigilance sleuths intercepted and seized Rs 3 lakh cash from the possession of Dhenkanal Excise Superintendent Krishna Nayak.
The vigilance team caught Nayak in a Scorpio vehicle (OD-02-CZ-7044) at Deulasahi Road, Dhenkanal, when she failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the large amount of cash.
The vigilance team has seized the cash and the vehicle. A search operation is currently underway at five locations linked to Nayak to investigate potential disproportionate assets. Nayak is being examined to determine the source of the money. The investigation is underway.
