Dhenkanal: Dhenkanal police have issued an official advisory regarding a blast that occurred at a black stone quarry in Village Kastipal under Nihalprasad Police Station.
In a statement, the police confirmed that the quarry was operating legally and possessed the required blasting licence. However, verification of all permissions and compliance is currently underway.
Preliminary reports indicate that one person lost his life in the incident. Two other persons sustained minor injuries. They were given first aid and later discharged from the hospital after treatment. These details are still being verified.
The police have informed that a thorough inquiry into the blast is in progress and appropriate legal action will be taken against anyone found responsible.
