Puri: The Daitapati Nijoga President Ganesh Das Mohapatra and Secretary Ramakrushna Das Mohapatra appeared before the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) as a part of the investigation into the controversy over Digha Jagannath Temple. However, both remained tight-lipped in front of the media, refusing to comment on the matter.

The temple administration had served notice to the presidents and secretaries of all Sevayat Niyogs regarding the issue of taking sacred Neem wood to the Digha Jagannath Temple. A crucial meeting chaired by SJTA chief Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee was held in three phases at the temple administration office, where officials discussed the remaining Neem wood from the Nabakalebar rituals.

The meeting involved separate discussions with Deulakaran, Shyakaukaran, Patajoshi Mahapatra, Badagrahis, and Vishwakarma Maharanas. Meanwhile, Sri Jagannath Sena filed a complaint against Ramakrushna Das Mohapatra at the Singha Dwar Police station.

Chief Badagrahi Jagannath Swain Mahapatra weighed in on the Digha Jagannath Dham dispute, stating that no place other than Puri can be called Jagannath Dham. He revealed that he was invited to the consecration ceremony of the Digha Temple but declined to attend.
