Daspalla: The dismembered body of a youth was recovered from the railway tracks in the Daspalla area of Nayagarh district in Odisha on Monday morning. The body of the youth was spotted on the railway tracks near Madhupur between Daspalla and Dihagan.

The head of the youth was found severed from the torso – both lying on either side of the railway track. It is being suspected that he was hit by a speeding train going from Daspalla to Bhubaneswar early on Monday morning.

Although the identity of the youth is yet to be ascertained, locals are of the view that he hailed from the Kutibari area of Nuagaon.

On being informed, Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot, recovered the body and sent it for autopsy. The police have also launched an investigation into the unnatural death of the youth.
