Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has installed Doppler Weather Radar Centres at Gopalpur and is currently constructing similar centres at Baripada and Sambalpur, informed Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari in Odisha Assembly today.
Minister’s reply came in response to a query raised by the MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati seeking reply on the number of Doppler Weather Radar Centres in Odisha.
The Minister also informed the House that approval has been granted for setting up an X-band Doppler Weather Radar Centre at ROTI Campus, Bhubaneswar, to enhance early warning systems for natural disasters.
