Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, two persons were brutally murdered in Kashipada village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Kutra police station in Sundargarh district, on Sunday night.
The deceased individuals have been identified as Pratap Lakra (26) and Lipsha Kerketa (24), belonging to Rumabahal, and Kashipada village of Tunmura Panchayat, respectively.
According to reports, the accused driver, Raju Nag, brutally stabbed Pratap and Lipsha to death with a knife, allegedly because they were lovers.
The murder is suspected to have been motivated by a love triangle.
The accused driver, from Jaurumal village of Rajgangpur, has been absconding since yesterday.
Upon being informed, the Kutra police officials have started an investigation into the matter.
