Bhubaneswar: In yet another case of drunk driving, the driver of a car lost control on the wheel and rammed the vehicle against a traffic post at Damana Square in Bhubaneswar late on Monday night.
The traffic post was damaged, while the driver and a lady sitting in the rear seat sustained critical injuries.
On being informed, a team from the Chandrasekharpur police station reached the spot and rushed the critically injured to hospital. The police have also seized the vehicle.
The car was coming from Kelucharan Park at a great speed and after hitting the traffic post at Damana Square crashed into the divider and subsequently hit a pole.
According to reports, the driver as well as the woman inside the car was in an inebriated condition.
