Balasore: A pharmacist who was in an inebriated condition was mercilessly beaten by people of Idaba under Singla police limits here on Tuesday. The pharmacist, Sibasis Tudu allegedly assaulted a youth who was inquiring about vaccination.
The incident triggered tension in the area following which locals pulled Tudu out of Idaba health centre and tied him to a tree. The pharmacist was beaten black and biue by the captors. Police and officials of local administration rushed to the spot to control the situation.
